Club History

Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.

Monthly Meetings

The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC.  Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.

PTC Classic

The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine. Plan on 10/19/2024 for the race.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AWARDS BANQUET – FRIDAY, 6 DECEMBER

The annual Christmas Awards Banquet will be held in lieu of a monthly meeting for December.  See you at the next club meeting on Monday, 6 January!!

CHRISTMAS EVE SOCIAL RUN!! TUESDAY, 24 DECEMBER, 0800-1100

Hey Running Peeps!! We have some exciting events coming up. First and foremost is our Christmas Eve Social Run! We are meeting at the Fred Brown Amphitheater at 8:00 a.m. Run/Walk starts at 8:15 a.m. The main group will do a 3-mile loop (part of the 10K Route) and then head back for cupcakes, coffee, hot cocoa, and other treats.
Bring a snack if you’d like to share the Christmas Spirit — but it’s not necessary. You do not have to be a member to run with us! All are welcome!!  More details at: https://www.facebook.com/share/19Zu8xoyVz/

MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL – WEDNESDAY, 1 JANUARY

Join us for our annual New Year’s Day Grand Prix from 8:00 AM onward at Shelly and Justin Collins’ home at 105 Wedgewood Way in PTC. Run/walk a course and guess the distance. No watches or electronic devices are allowed. The person closest to the actual distance wins!  Please plan on starting as early as 8:00 AM but no later than 10:00 AM.

Be sure to bring a breakfast dish to share at the brunch afterward. The club will furnish coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, and paper products.  Also, be sure to wear your best smile for the annual New Year’s Day club photo!

CLUB MEETING – MONDAY, 6 JANUARY
We will meet at the Line Creek Brewery at 7:30 PM.  The budget for the year will be presented for questions and discussion.
