We are an active club and there is a chance to run with other members almost every day of the week. We gladly welcome walkers, plodders, shufflers, and joggers of all paces.
Over 100 miles of Golf Cart paths to run!
Designated Runner Friendly Community by RRCA.
We have runners from all ages and walks of life!
Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.
The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are usually held at the Peachtree City Hotel and Conference Center (formerly known as the Wyndham Conference Center) usually in the amphitheater. Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.
The Peachtree City Classic consists of three different races: Women’s 5K, Men’s 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine. Plan on 10/16/2021 for next year’s race. In the meantime, please join us for our Virtual 5K/10K Race this year. Complete details are under the tab above, PTCRC Virtual Race.
40th Peachtree City Classic postponed until October 16, 2021
The Board of the Peachtree City Running Club has reluctantly made the decision to postpone the 40th running of the Peachtree City Classic until October of 2021. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution for the health of our runners, volunteers, and the community as well as the uncertainty regarding the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the fall.
The good news, however, is that in its place we plan to host virtual 5K and 10K races that can be completed over a 31-day period, from October 1st through October 31st. This will be a great tune-up for the Peachtree 10K the following month!
We are all runners and we know the reality is that we will still be running, either alone or in small groups. Staying in shape is more than just a habit. It is an important part of our lives. And hey, a keepsake shirt during this time will be memorable as well.
Details of the “race” can be found under the tab ‘Virtual Race’ above. If you can run on the paths of Peachtree City that is great, but you can also run the distance in Canada, or California; Hong Kong or Hoboken; Afghanistan or Atlanta. This will be a great event!
