Club History

Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.

Monthly Meetings

The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC.  Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.

PTC Classic

The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine.

CLUB MEETING – MONDAY, AUGUST 3
We meet at 7:30 PM at the Line Creek Brewery.  Please read the attached minutes from the June meeting to be voted on for approval.

Are you interested in Disney runs? This month, we welcome Disney running enthusiasts and One More Run, The Podcast hosts, and PTC Running Club members, AJ and Erika. They’ll tell us why running Disney races is a good idea, how to get the most out of runDisney, and answer some questions. As time allows, we’ll invite you to tell AJ and Erika what you love about runDisney.

MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL – SATURDAY, AUGUST 8

WHO: All MRS participants

WHAT: Scavenger Hunt!!  Bring your phone with you as it is a photo scavenger hunt and you will need to take photos along the way.  You will be given a list of items to photograph along the two-mile course. The more items you find and photograph, the more points you earn!

WHEN: Saturday, 8 August at 8 AM

WHERE: Cynthia Jenkins is hosting at her home at 240 Sandy Lake Circle, Fayetteville.  If you are using AppleMaps, you can use this address.  But if you are using any other GPS, you will need to enter 120 Creekwood Lane, Fayetteville. Take the long driveway right before that address.  Cynthia will place a balloon on her mailbox to make it easy to ID.  You are welcome to park in and along the long driveway.  The course is a scenic route around Sandy Lake Circle which is a big circle around a small lake.

CLASSIC VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP IS LIVE!!

PTCRC members, our club is preparing to host the 46th edition of our premier annual race event and our only club fundraiser- the Peachtree City Classic 5k/15k on October 16-17, 2026! We need every member to help us create a quality experience for the hundreds of runners we will welcome. Our priority as club members is to serve in parking, course marshaling, event clean-up and more. Please sign today up via the link to volunteer.

ALZHEIMER’S WALK – SATURDAY, 3 OCTOBER
 
Once again, the Peachtree City Running Club has a team for the Alzheimer’s Walk which is on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Cathy Olson will be collecting donations at the August and September meetings. You can also donate to this worthy cause online using the link below.
