Club History

Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.

Monthly Meetings

The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC.  Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.

PTC Classic

The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine. Plan on 10/18/2025 for the race.

BEGINNER 5K TRAINING COHORT
Kick off spring with a fresh goal! Our Beginner 5K Training Cohort launches the week of March 29 and runs for 10 weeks, building you up for the Atlanta Pride Run 5K on Sunday, June 7. Along the way, you’ll have the option to test your progress at the All American 5K on Saturday, May 16. Coaching is open to Peachtree City Running Club members and Panasonic Automotive employees and contractors, with weekly meetups every Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. in the Panasonic parking lot. Whether you’re brand new to running or returning after time away, you’ll have a supportive group, structured guidance, and a clear path to race day. Hurry- registration closes Saturday, April 4. MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL (MRS) – SATURDAY, 25 APRIL
Earth Day Challenge – Saturday, April 25th
In honor of Earth Month, April’s monthly run social event will include an Earth Day challenge. The event will begin at the Fred Amphitheater at 8am on Saturday, April 25th. Participants will be provided a set destination, after which they’ll have 10 minutes to decide how long they believe it will take them to journey to that destination and back to the starting point. A printed map will be provided upon request, and all participants will start together once all entries have been submitted. Participants will be ranked based on the accuracy of their time estimate.
  • Earth Day Conservation Challenge – all participants who bring back a piece of litter larger than a nickel as evidence of their conservation efforts will be ranked above those participants who do not bring back a piece of trash.
  • No watches, phones, timing devices will be allowed for this event. 
MAY MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL / MILES FOR MIDWEST FOOD BANK 5K – SATURDAY, 9 MAY

Join us for the sixth annual Miles for Midwest 5K Run benefiting Midwest Food Bank Georgia Division!!  The 5K course will begin at the Midwest Food Bank Facility in Peachtree City, Georgia and take you on a scenic run along the cart paths.  Pre-registration is open until May 7th at 8 PM.  Pre-registration is $35 for adults, $30 for children under 18. ($5 discount will be taken off of registrations for those who are under 18 at checkout).  In-person registration available the morning of the run at $40 for adults and $35 for children under 18. 

Registration table opens at 7:00 AM on the day of the run.  The run begins at 8 AM.  Take your time and tour our facility to learn how you can be involved at Midwest Food Bank to serve our local community.

Remember that all proceeds from the race go directly toward our mission to alleviate hunger and malnutrition.  Every $1.00 donated allows us to share $30.00 worth of food with our local community! 

*No strollers, wheelchairs, bikes, or dogs will be allowed on the run due to liability issues.  

**T-shirts can only be guaranteed to runners who register by March 31st, 2026.

16TH ANNUAL AMERICAN 5K/10K – SATURDAY, 16 MAY

AMERICAN LEGION, POST 50 PRESENTS: THE ALL AMERICAN 5K/10K

With Spring just around the corner, NOW is the time to get ready for the 2026 edition of the All American 5K/10K.

Join the American Legion, Post 50 on Saturday, May 16, 2026 (ARMED FORCES DAY), at 8:00 am for the 16th Annual All American 5K run/walk, 10K run, or Phantom (Virtual) run.  The race starts and finishes in the vicinity of the Frederick Brown Amphitheater (Shakerag Knoll) and is presented by American Legion Post 50 and the Peachtree City Running Club.  Proceeds from this event support the Veteran and Youth programs sponsored by American Legion Post 50 which serves the Peachtree City, Tyrone, and Senoia Communities.  Peachtree City Running Club is proud to sponsor this American Legion, Post 50 event.  Application is attached or you can sign up online at ALL AMERICAN 5K/10K – PTCRC
