Club History
Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.
Monthly Meetings
The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC. Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.
PTC Classic
The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine.

CLUB MEETING – MONDAY, 5 OCTOBER
We meet at 7:30 PM at the Line Creek Brewery, 150 Huddleston Rd, Peachtree City. This is our annual “All Things Classic” meeting with the majority of business devoted primarily to our signature event.
At the 2 November meeting, we will be voting on the slate for members of next year’s Executive Board. Here is the slate as it now stands.
President– Evan Lovelace seeking re-election for 2027 & 2028 term
VP Admin – Paul Schultz, to serve 2nd year of 2-year term
VP Activities – Tracey Moore, to serve 2nd year of 2-year term
Treasurer – Pat Cote-Miles, seeking approval to serve one more year and mentor a new Treasurer
Secretary – Justin Collins will not seek re-election. The club is inviting interested members who have been active and are in good standing for one year or more to contact any board member to communicate interest.
PTCRC CLASSIC WEEK – 12-17 OCTOBER
The Classic is our premiere signature event and requires the help of EVERYONE in the club to successfully ensure the event lives up to its name. We will have race packet stuffing on Wednesday evening, 6 PM, October 14, at Line Creek Brewery. The Packet Pick Up will take place Friday afternoon and evening, 4-8 PM, October 16, at the Fred Brown Amphitheater. The event itself takes place on Saturday, October 17, at the Fred. And then the Volunteer Appreciation Party is later that same evening at the Estates Club House (details below).
PTC CLASSIC VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP
It takes over 200 volunteers to successfully execute our annual premiere event, the PTC Classic, which takes place on 17 October this year. It is our one and only “all hands on deck” event of the year and we need our club members to turn out in force. You can do your part by signing up at the following link:

Because we appreciate our volunteers so much, we’re offering an extra incentive. In addition to the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner (5:30 PM after the Classic Race), we are offering two (2) individuals the chance to win a $100 Smith & Davis Gift Card! There are also four (4) $25 S&D gift cards and $150 in prizes to be raffled off. The holidays are right around the corner – what a perfect way to help cut the cost of holiday gifts. There will also be running swag including hats, glasses, socks, and more!!
RACE PACKET STUFFING – WEDNESDAY, 14 OCTOBER
We begin at 6:00 PM at Line Creek Brewery. Free pizza and tea/water for all workers. “Many hands make light work!!” This is a great way to mingle and meet with other club members while endlessly circling around the tables stuffing race packets. You can take a break and enjoy a free meal as well. The more folks who show up, the more fun it is and the quicker it goes! Pizza will be served at the CONCLUSION once all the packets are stuffed.
VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION PARTY – SATURDAY, 17 OCTOBER
Enjoy a FREE catered casual meal and swap war stories about the race. We meet at the Estates Club House, 306 Oak Lawn Court in PTC beginning at 5:30 PM. Beer, soft drinks, and water will also be provided. The drawing for the two $100 and four $25 Smith & Davis gift cards will be held, and you must be present to win!! There will also be $150 in other raffle prizes. Hope to see you there!!
MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL – SATURDAY, 24 OCTOBER
JOIN US FOR A STROLLER RUN!
Saturday, October 24th at 8:00am at the Battery Way Boat dock
Earn extra points for pushing a stroller—and even more points if you bring a little passenger along for the ride!
If you have a stroller, please bring it with you. We’ll also have extra strollers available for anyone who wants to join in the stroller fun!
The course will start at the Battery Way Boat Docks and go to Huddleston Pond and back. At the pond, you’ll play a quick game of Pick-A-Duck by selecting a rubber duck with a letter on the bottom. Each letter corresponds to a different number of points—so choose your duck wisely!
No stroller? No problem—all are welcome! Can’t wait to see you there!
