The race has already happened, so the information below is shown for reference only. We hope to see you in 2023!
It’s time to honor and celebrate our armed forces. What better way to do that than run or walk in the annual ARMED FORCES DAY ALL AMERICAN 5K/10K RUN/WALK.
Join us on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 8:30 am for the 12th Annual All American 5K run/walk, 10K run, or Phantom (Virtual) run. The race starts and finishes in the vicinity of the Frederick Brown Amphitheater (Shakerag Knoll) and is presented by American Legion Post 50 and the Peachtree City Running Club. Proceeds from this event support the Veteran and Youth programs sponsored by Legion Post 50 in the Peachtree City, Tyrone, and Senoia Communities.
The race t-shirt will be made using a high-tech material and will be limited to the first 300 entrants. The winner of Post 50’s annual high school Patriotic Art Contest will be the featured artwork on the race t-shirt. This artwork honoring our Veterans – past and present – will make this t-shirt a unique one-of-a-kind collectible.
Not a runner? Wanting to avoid the crowd? No problem. You also have an alternative option by participating as a Phantom (Virtual) runner/walker. For the price of registration (which includes shipping and handling), you will receive a race t-shirt. You may choose to run/walk any course of your choosing at any time.
To further celebrate Armed Forces Day, we are offering participating MILITARY VETERANS and FIRST RESPONDERS (Police, Fire Fighters, EMT and hospital worker) a discounted rate as our way to say “THANK YOU” for your steadfast service.
COVID 19 safety measures and protocols will be exercised at this event. We ask all participants to follow current guidelines. Wearing of face masks when in crowded situations or indoors is recommended. (No mask is needed while your are running/walking an event). Be sure to check Legion Post 50 website at www.galegionpost50.org for updates.
Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top three male and female participants in each 5-year age group.
Post 50 will also be conducting an open house while all the festivities are ongoing. The lower level of the building in front of the Fred Amphitheater is now the new home of Legion Post 50. Everyone is invited to take a few minutes to come inside and visit. If you are a Veteran looking for camaraderie and volunteer opportunities with fellow Veterans come talk to us. We will be happy to provide you information about what the American Legion does.
Registration / sign in starts at 7:00am
T-Shirts and race packets may be picked up upon completion of your respective event.
