Club History
Founded in 1981, our club has grown to be one of the largest running clubs in the Metro Atlanta area. With over 100 miles of cart paths in Peachtree City, you are bound to run into someone you know eventually (pun intended!). We have members from all walks of life, ages and abilities.
Monthly Meetings
The Peachtree City Running Club holds its monthly meetings on the first Monday of every month with the exception of July and December. Meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. and are currently held at Line Creek Brewery at 150 Huddleston Rd in PTC. Actual meeting place is usually announced via e-mail and posted on our web site.
PTC Classic
The Peachtree City Classic consists of two different races: 5K and 15K Open. All races are on certified courses. The course was voted the Best Course by Georgia Athlete Magazine. Plan on 10/18/2025 for the race.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS AWARDS BANQUET – FRIDAY, 5 DECEMBER
The annual Christmas Awards Banquet will be held in lieu of a monthly meeting for December. See you at the next club meeting on Monday, 5 January!!
29TH ANNUAL JINGLE BELL JOG 5K – SATURDAY, 6 DECEMBER
For almost 30 years the PTC Running Club has assisted Peachtree City Elementary with their signature Jingle Bell Train Run. This year the 5K & 1 mile fun run is on Saturday, December 6th. Each year the school has between 700-800 runners so it takes a lot of volunteer support to manage a safe race. Our club typically provides about 20 volunteers for the race. To tell the truth, it is more of a social event for our club, and with every runner wearing “jingle bells” in their shoes, that sound passing by officially starts the Christmas season for many of us.
If you are able to help, please email George Martin at r2sun98@mindspring.com or text to 770-596-9890 to sign up and get more details. Volunteers report about 7:30 for coffee and pastries, and yes, another Christmas collectible volunteer shirt, if you can fit another one in your drawers!

JOLLY HOLLY FUN RUN – WEDNESDAY, 10 DECEMBER
Get jolly and hit the cart paths! 
Join us for a Holiday Fun Run from Fleet Feet PTC in partnership with TriPTC & the Peachtree City Running Club (PTCRC) on Wednesday, December 10th at 6 PM.
Dust off your most festive holiday attire—the more sparkle, the better! 
- When: Wednesday, December 10th, 6:00 PM. Reminder to bring a headlamp or light!

Come run, walk, and spread some holiday cheer with the entire family! We will have a 3 mile out-and-back route from The Avenue to Drake Field. Led by MSP Coach, Tiffany Woods. See you there!

CHRISTMAS EVE SOCIAL RUN!! WEDNESDAY, 24 DECEMBER, 8 AM
Hey Running Peeps!! We have some exciting events coming up. First and foremost is our Christmas Eve Social Run! We are meeting at the Fred Brown Amphitheater at 8:00 a.m. Run/Walk starts at 8:15 a.m. The main group will do a 3-mile loop (part of the 10K Route) and then head back for cupcakes, coffee, hot cocoa, and other treats.
Bring a snack if you’d like to share the Christmas Spirit — but it’s not necessary. You do not have to be a member to run with us! All are welcome!!
MONTHLY RUN SOCIAL – THURSDAY, 1 JANUARY
Join us for our annual New Year’s Day Monthly Run Social from 8:30 AM onward at Shelly and Justin Collins’ home at 105 Wedgwood Way in PTC. Run/walk a course and guess the distance. No watches or electronic devices are allowed. The person closest to the actual distance wins! Please plan on starting as early as 8:30 AM but no later than 10:00 AM.
Be sure to bring a breakfast dish to share at the brunch afterward. The club will furnish coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice, and paper products. Also, be sure to wear your best smile for the annual New Year’s Day club photo!
