Kid’s Marathon Finish Homeschool Application
The Kids Marathon Finish in Peachtree City, GA, is a festive and spirited event that takes place every year before The Peachtree City Classic 5K/15K. The Kids Marathon Finish is a 1.2-mile race specifically designed for elementary school-aged participants. In years past, the opportunity to participate in the Kids Marathon Finish was only available to children enrolled in brick-and-mortar type schools.
In the hopes of encouraging a healthy lifestyle of running and walking, we will now be allowing home school children (aged 4-10) to participate in the kid’s marathon finish – granted, they must qualify like children in traditional school. This program is completely free. We only ask, that each child is adequately trained and conditioned to run or walk 1.2 miles.
Like in our schools, each child’s mileage is tracked daily and totaled by October 1st. All those who ran 25 miles, will receive a special invitation. If your child or children are interested in participating in the program, you first must be willing to log each mile your child runs or walk starting August 3 and ending October 1st. Again, your child must run or walk 25 miles to be invited to participate.
Please fill out the form below, and we will provide you with the rules and forms that must be signed and completed before your child will qualify. Once the form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email and the mileage form to keep track of your kids’ progress. (We are 100% volunteer run program. Please allow for 5-7 business days for processing).
