Weekly Runs

Weekly group runs are a great way to connect with club members and develop your running. Join a club sponsored run or link up with members who form their own groups. 

PTCRC Sponsored Group Runs

The following runs are open to members and to the community. You can find us here each week unless there is another club scheduled race or event in its place, which is marked on our club calendar.

Day/Time: Tuesday, 7:00 PM

Place: The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, second parking tier, across from the Ticket Office

Distance: 3 mile and 5-mile options

Pace:

3-mile group run at 10:30-11:30 min/mile avg. pace; often Run/walk group at 11:30-12:30 min/mile pace, depending on participants

5-mile group run, ranges from 8:30-9:30 and/or 10:00-11:00 min/mile depending on participants

Day/Time: Thursday, 5:30 PM

Place: Picnic Park, behind PTC City Hall and Library

Distance: 3.6-miles

Pace: 9:30-10:30 min/mile avg

Day/Time: Friday, 8:30 AM

Place: The Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater, across from bathrooms at BMX track

Distance: 3-miles

Pace: 10:15-11:30 min/mile avg

Day/Time: Sunday, 6:30 AM

Place: Huddleston Elementary School, front parking

Distance: 6-10 miles or longer, varies by participants and distance/pace grouping

Pace: 8:30-9:30 and 9:30-10 min/mile avg, varies by distance/pace grouping

INFORMAL GROUPS with PTCRC MEMBERS:

Come to a monthly club meeting and ask us how to get linked with participants of these run groups.

 

Battery Way/Boat Docks Run/Walk Group

Day/Time(s): Tuesday and Thursday mornings, early morning, depending on participant availability

Distance: 5 miles

Pace: Average walk/run pace 10:00-10:30 min/mile, running for 8 minutes, walking 2 minutes each mile

POC: Contact Evan, 478-494-0523 to be put in touch with Boat Dock runners

 

Day/Time: Tuesday and Thursday, 4:30 AM

Place: The Track at Riley Field

Distance: Track warm-up, individual track speed work, finishing with group run on adjacent paths; distance varies within 45 min to 1-hour total time

Pace: Varies by individual for track speed work; group path run average 8:30-9:30 min/mile

POC: Meet Hassan at the track
