Celebrating Excellence. Honoring Legacy. Inspiring the Next Generation.
A new award was instituted at the 2004 Christmas Awards Banquet. As the PTC Running Club was approaching its quarter-century anniversary, the Executive Board, led by President George Martin, thought it was appropriate to honor the contributions made by some of its most active and valuable members. The first nine inductees are listed below.
The Peachtree City Running Club Hall of Fame honors the runners who have left an extraordinary mark on our club through exceptional performance, dedication, and sportsmanship. These individuals represent the very best of what our running community stands for—commitment, perseverance, and a lifelong love of the sport.
To be eligible for the PTCRC Hall of Fame, selectees need to be a club member for five years, have made significant contributions to the club, have served in leadership roles for the club, must be well respected by the club membership, have served as a positive role model for club members, and present a favorable image to the non-running community at large. They should have also received the RRCA Volunteer Award (national 2000-hour award for time served toward club activities).
